Yea. Bruce Arians was really incompetent. Steeler fans already knew that. I would scream every time he ran draws on 3rd and Long with MEWELDE MOORE. That particular play even surrendered a few safeties recently if I recall correctly(most notably against the Jets in '10). He will ruin Andrew Luck and the Colts. Hopefully, Todd Haley's new playbook will remind people more of Ken Whisenhunt's time in Pittsburgh. I am really excited for this season and the new Offense, particularly with how do-it-all guy Chris Rainey will work into everything. He is a kind of weapon the Steelers haven't had before.

Maybe the weak link is Ben. Maybe the reason the playbook was limited was it was all Ben could handle. He's is not the sharpest tool in the the toolbox. Maybe its Ben who will have trouble digesting the Haley's playbook and not the young receivers. The young receivers all seem to have a better work ethic and film work habits than Ben.

Man you have to had loved this draft....Mike Adams got his wish...to be a Steelers,did'nt think Gilbert was the right move to the left side...seem to be confused adjusting to Big Ben style of holding on to the ball at time! But DeCastro...yes sir!!!!Faneca's back...if only Willie Colon could come back to top form....mind you,I think we are sleeping on Jonathan Scott...he was throw into the fire(hit or miss)the constant changing of the line last year made a lot of guys look bad...but great story!

I fully agree this line has a chance to be 1 of the best in the NFL for yrs to come it will be fun to watch them grow together an finnally se Ben get some real protection an get back to being able to run the ball effective again!

DeCastro was compared to Steve Hutchinson and Alan Faneca leading up to the Draft. That is some very high praise. Those two are without a doubt the best Guards of the 2000s. Hopefully he does live up to the hype, because him being a bust could set us back 3 or 4 years.

Marcus Gilbert has been nominated as the starting LT next season by the Coaching Staff. I say he will start there since he is a lot better at Pass Blocking than he is at Run Blocking. I agree with Bouchette. Once DeCastro and Adams were Drafted, I began to imagine Colon at one of the Guard spots. I could even see DeCastro eventually moving to LG. Here is how I envision the OL at the end of the season if Colon stays healthy: LT Marcus Gilbert, LG Willie Colon, C Maurkice Pouncey, RG David DeCastro, RT Mike Adams.

I have heard conflicting reports on whether David DeCastro will wear #66 or #61. There have been pictures of him from Rookie Mini Camp wearing #66, but everywhere I look people are saying he will wear #61.

The last few years we basically had three injury prone second teamers as starters. Then when they were hurt we had a very poor line. Starting out with the o line appearing to be a strenght is one of the biggest things to be excited about this year.

It is Byron Leftwich, our backup QB who was injured last season. Charlie Batch is another backup QB for the Steelers but he in not injured. Did someone who knows anything about football even write this???????

I think you are completely underestimating Colon. His last full year of playing he graded out as one of the top right tackles in the league - thus he got a big contract. I think he can do well at guard also, but he is a great asset to the team either way.

I don't agree in the sense that all QB's get hit...If the Steelers run with more consistency, that will Help keep Ben upright and blocked for...the young guys will be fine...did you nay say Pouncey like this too?
